About OIDS - OpenID Source Foundation
The idea has been presented to create a Non Profit Organization 501 (c) probably incorporated in Florida to act as a legal framework for the OpenID Source project, and to organize the community. OpenID Source has not been promoted to the public at large, and is not widely known ; it is simply referred to in the IPR Policies, on the sites which are presently using the technology and services it makes available to them. OpenID Source is so far reserved to the developers and active participants’ community.
The role of OIDS is to organize the community endorsing its policies, and to keep its applications running; its primary goal is the implementation of OpenID services. You can learn more about the community and the way it operates here.
The foundation will also call upon businesses and corporations, to offer them to sponsor and support the funding of the foundation.
