Relying Party
The important mission of OIDS is to help each site become a stable RP.
To achieve this, you will offer, in a dedicated part of your OP, a complete downloading and documentation database which will allow the sites’ webmasters to easily implement OID in their SSO, and to make them RP compatible. And if that is not enough, the community you will have organized in your country will help those sites complete the work—until everything runs perfectly.
Large businesses can help OIDS financially. This financial assistance will be used to maintain the servers and their performance, and, generally, for the organization of OIDS.
The RP will be granted a license of your application, via an OIDS license, which insures them that all upgrades will be done. A certification program is set in place between your OP and his RP friends; it functions as a circle of trust between the two parties. Of course, developed RPs remain open and compatible with all OpenID.
Which sites can become RP?
There are numerous sites of various types, requiring the sharing of different levels of information; they all have their own development requirements.
These are:
- Avatars, Audience, Blogs, Contacts, Expression, Hobby, Information, Knowledge,
Opinion, Publication, Profession, Purchase, Reputation...
Measurable evolution
- • You will find here, in real time, the list of sites using OpenID under an OIDS license. This allows to measure and track the evolution of all projects, sorted out according to several categories. For End Users, a directory sorted by sites, countries and languages will be available on the local, national site.
